The neighborhood where this apartment is located reminded us of certain New York districts. That impression defined the name and set the direction from the very beginning: contemporary, conceptual, with an American character.
The clients came with many ideas and a wide range of inspirations. One of the key tasks was to distill all of this into a clear, cohesive concept. We aimed for a balance between restraint and contemporary softness, between a timeless aesthetic and fresh, thoughtful solutions.
Here, we combine different types of wood and play with shades of travertine. The kitchen is designed not to look like a kitchen at all: the technical elements are concealed, and the aluminum Reform fronts will become the base for an unexpected pairing with travertine. In the living room, a sculptural fireplace anchors the space.
St Leo paint gives the walls depth and a refined, textured finish – a calm yet distinctive backdrop. The moldings add a sense of structure and precision while remaining completely modern. The ceilings are 3.5 meters high, giving the interior an airy architectural presence.
Materials: wood, travertine, tonal veneers, aluminum, and St Leo paints from Denmark.
The layout includes a full master suite with its own bathroom and walk-in closet.
