Tulip

In the mornings birds singing wake you up, then have breakfast in the open air. In the afternoon you dive far into the forest, stroll and breathe in fresh air. In the evening you go outside, close window shutters for the night, light candles on the terrace and enjoy sipping a glass of red wine. We find ourselves in the countryside, in the chalet.
'Dutch chalet', or 'Tulip Project' is about a cottage house not for permanent residence, although there are all the facilities out there. Laconic, 'mean' architecture of the house, gable roof, and shutters enable to lock the house at night and while away, silence and peace and quiet so that you have a full rest.

The five central windows serve as largest and most essential space in the house. You gather together with family and friends, hang out, light a fireplace and play music. The walls across the house are decorated with plywood panels. It was of great importance for us that the material would be simple, inexpensive, textured, warm, and natural as well as not hyped or dated. No strong colour accents, only rounded shapes out here to create the right atmosphere – 100% chillout from the hustle and bustle, from the city, from digital.

Yes and yes, everything in bathroom is wooden! We consider bathrooms should serve as full-fledged rooms, not just hygienic. Therefore, the design approach is appropriate and complies with the general concept.
